The Research
Where School Leadership Meets Developmental Psychology-
My current research project, in a nut-shell, is about the influence of whole-school-ethos upon the mental health of children.
In academic terms: An exploration of the influence of school-ethos and ethos-focused-leadership upon the development of psychological resilience in primary aged children in England. It will be conducted with a supervisory team from The Institute of Education, Nottingham Trent University. It will explore the development of resilience in children through:




shared vision and values
ethos focused governance
innovative curriculum and teaching
valuing children’s voice
